Getting ready for the long haul....
Again this is really Brian's domain but as we all know I am nothing if not pushy :-)
So..... We are getting ready to wind up the school year and move up to camp-- (maddie and I leave for good on the 8th of June and Brian comes up on the 30th......)
So, we are in CRAZY mode.
Now last year is was easier then I realized as Maddie could not speak or really object in any way to waht we were doing and how we were doing it...AHHHHH times have changed!!!
Madeline's new favorite word is NO...She just says it even when she is actually doing what you asked her to .... Also she is a HUGE fan of YES...of course she just says yes to things and we often notice that she has ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA of what we are talking about...it is almost funny...
Another fun new habit is she now has ideas and opinons all her own-- no to those shoes or I want this toy not that one...we used to be able to just give her a stuffed animal and all was fine now there are specific ones for the car, the room, the bed/crib...EXHAUSTING!!!
We can actually understand what she says...well most of the time...
She totally knows the colors, counting to 20 in English and 10 in Spanish no this would be VERY impressive is she could just do some of the more useful things in life....potty training.. not getting up in the middle of the night, tell us what the heck she does all day in school....let us know if we are parenting her correctly or if this crap shoot is a disaster....
But I'll take the counting as a sign that at least we are heading in a direction-- which one I am not entirely sure of just yet :-)
Overall, aside from having to lose weight which as of today I am down 8.5 pounds, and from trying to find a house that we can both afford and like where it is , aside from our families being well at time exhausting, we are probably one of the happiest little family units around and that is pretty damm AWESOME~~~~--
