Just you and me kid
This is the 2nd time in a month that Sheira has gone away for business and it's just Maddie and daddy.
It should come as no real surprise that I am not the best of disciplinarians when it comes to Maddie. I admit it - I do have "sucker" written on my forehead more times than not when it comes to her. I give in more often and more quickly than Sheira. She is a daddy's girl. Now this wouldn't be so bad except for Miss Gayle (Maddie's day care teacher) who subtly reminds us that when Sheira is away that Maddie tends to not listen as much.
I was (and am) determined to make sure that Maddie is getting some kind of structure and schedule this week. So far *I* think it's working. She's not giving me a hard time when I put her into bed at 8pm and not complaining when I get her up at 6:30am. She is sleeping through the night (unlike last time) and I am not hearing of any episodes of her running around during circle time or trying to take her shoes off when they're not looking.
There are still 4 nights to go so I am hoping and praying that I will not fall prey to her pleas for more time to play and stick to my guns.
