Good for a laugh (thanks to Maddie)
I'm not sure how many of you read the post from when we were in China when I (Brian) had 'a moment' while changing my first poopy diaper. Sheira thought it would be cute to take a picture of me struggling while reaching for the wipes while I have Maddie's legs up in the air and a nasty diaper full of poop. I'm a big believer of what goes around, comes around.
On Sunday, we're visiting our friends Ean, Michelle, and their baby Jillian and having a wonderful time. Maddie is going from what thing to the next and enjoying chasing the cats. In the middle of chasing the kitties, she stops by Sheira and holds onto Sheira's leg. A few seconds later Sheira says, "what just spilled on my foot?" It wasn't a spill but Maddie peeing right into Sheira's sandal. There was a literal puddle inside this sandal. I could not stop laughing. What was amazing was that the pee somehow managed to totally skip Maddie's shorts, went right down her leg and into Sheira's sandal.
There are no pictures of the event but it was still worth sharing with everyone.
Maddie goes back and forth on choosing when to stand up and when to walk. The last couple days she decided, "nah...I already did a few steps. I don't need to do any more." Although when lured by pieces of American cheese, she will take a couple steps from the couch to the middle of the room where I am to come get it AND take it out of my hand to feed herself. A little bit at a time......
